Prove your humanity

You may use Serato or Traktor for your sets, but Algoriddim’s popular mixing app for iPad now has a Pro desktop version of its popular software title, djay and is looking to gain some market share with the “Pros.”

The Pro version comes with familiar faux-turntables along with other DJ app must haves like waveforms, effects and the ability to control djay Pro with an external MIDI controller.

djay Pro integrates Spotify into your live sets. Search Spotify’s library of over 20 million songs and mix them into your sets live. djay Pro looks to woo professional DJs with four virtual decks, new effects, a sampler, and a complete new design. Theres also support for Apples new 5k iMac which is kind of funny and cool at the same time. DJ’s don’t usually carry around an iMac from set to set but who knows, maybe we’ll start to see iMac setups.

Some noteworthy features:

Key Matching

djay Pro automatically detects a song’s key and allows to match it to songs of the same key within your music library. It allows you transpose songs into different keys, and sort your entire music library by key.

Sampler

The all-new built-in sampler adds another layer of creativity that allows you to trigger sounds and create drum beats on top of your music. In addition to the extensive pre-bundled content ranging from “Sound FX” to “Dubstep”, you can sample from your local tracks in real-time to create and save your own sample banks that can be quickly loaded during a performance.

You can buy djay Pro from the App Store for an introductory price of $49.99. Once the 40% sale is over you will need to shell out $69.99. You can also take it for a test drive and download a free trial here. For more info and full feature list, click here.
