Future Audio Workshop releases Circle2 – the new major update to their flagship software synthesizer. Since its release in 2009, Circle has become a popular soft-synth among big label producers like Hudson Mohawke, Arca, David Guetta and Deadmau5. Circle2 incorporates several new features, modules and effects, extending the spectrum of sounds that can be composed. Circle² also features a completely redesigned user retina-ready interface thats easy to navigate for any skill level.
Circle² focuses on usability. Many software synthesizers have become more complex and difficult to use but Circle2 has improved parameters in an intuitive manner allowing the user to focus on creativity rather than all the technicalities. Finding presets is now a breeze with Circle²s’ new preset browser.
FAW pushes synthesis boundaries by creating an entire new oscillator. Based on state-of-the-art digital synthesis research, the brand new VPS (vector phaseshaping synthesis) utilizes a synthesis technique introduced by researchers at the Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering and The National University of Ireland, and further developed for its implementation in Circle² via an academic collaboration with Future Audio Workshop. Get ready to experiment with VPS to create gritty bass patches to larger than life pads.
Circle² also comes with built-in effect that are begging to be used. The quality of Circles’ built in effect are thick and rich sounding. Circle² has a total of 15 inbuilt sound modifiers/effects:

- Echo
- Double Echo
- Ping Pong Echo
- Chorus
- Panner
- Bucket Delay
- Tube Distortion
